Animated!

I’m very excited about the newest art thing on my site:  Animated Art.  I like to say it’s like an abstract funhouse!

Often times, my pieces will be multi-layered, or I will have multiple versions.
I thought it would be fun to do simple animations of some of them.

There are animations that show the progress of a piece, like “Leaves” or “Always Learning”.

Some show color variations, like “Good Vibes From Outer Space”, or “All Square”.

Still others happened where I stopped, liked it, kept what was there, and then kept going, such as “Fences” or “This Is The Modern World”.

“Hearts” is a compilation of several of the heart art pieces I’ve made for my wife over the years.

“Ghosts of Their Former Selves” was conceived as a triptych.  When I was making this animation, I was reminded of those old school vertical neon signs that spelled out a word and then showed the whole thing, like “E-A-T EAT” or “H-O-T-E-L HOTEL”.  So I made it like one of those.  I think it’s so fun.
